TV Times is a weekly magazine for television viewers in Britain. Published by Future plc it was the second largest circulation publication in the UK, printing 16 regional editions each week.  The magazine was first published in 1955 and became national in 1968. Until 1991 it was the only source of seven-day listings for ITV’s many stations and, later, Channel 4. It was a pioneer in the field of celebrity and entertainment journalism, which soon spawned Hello, Us, People, and many more.

Monica was hired as the magazine’s youngest sub editor and only female member of the editorial committee. Aged 22, she worked side by side with many journalists who had twenty years of Fleet Street experience, learning the trade while generating stories for younger and female readers.
