Time Life Television, a division of Time Life Films, was the television production and distribution arm of Time Inc.  Notable co-productions were the Nova series, the BBC Shakespeare series, The Search for Alexander. 





Monica was Business Manager of this Time Inc. video operation which co-produced and syndicated series, shows and movies to stations around the US. 



The Search for Alexander

BBC Miniseries coproduced by TLV in 1981, starring James Mason. Jane Laportaire. Friends, contemporaries and enemies of Alexander the Great gather to tell his tale. After killing his father King Phillip, young Alexander struck out in 336 BC from Greece, leading 50,000 men. Ten years and 11,000 miles later, on foot and horseback, he was not only king of the Greeks, but pharaoh of Egypt, ruler of Persia, and master of the known world.


Book:

The author traveled on foot & horseback into the forbidding mountains of Iran and Afghanistan, Turkey and Pakistan, retracing Alexander's march.


Monica was Manager of Financial Analysis of Time Life Television.


Shakespeare Series on BBC

Shakespeare is considered the world's greatest playwright for the beauty of his language, for his profound insights into human nature, and for the dramatic realism of his characters. These BBC and Time-Life film co-productions feature some of Britain's most distinguished theatrical talent (Anthony Hopkins, Sir John Gielgud, Patrick Stewart, Derek Jacobi, Claire Bloom). The TV series was syndicated in the US and sold by mail order as videocassettes. Directors included Alvin Rakoff, Herbert Wise, Jack Gold, Jonathan Miller, Rodney Bennett.
