Beasts of No Nation (2015) is an award-winning feature film revealing the heartbreak of children caught up as soldiers in civil war. Written, directed and produced by Cary Fukunaga and starring Idris Elba, based on the highly acclaimed 2005 novel by Nigerian author Uzodinma Iweala, it tells the story of Agu, an African child torn from his family who is inducted into a rag tag army by his new cruel new father figure, the Commandant.
