Romeo and Juliet are among the world’s the greatest lovers and the most enduring gift to romance and dance on the stage today. Their story has spawned over a dozen 20th Century ballets. Perhaps the most successful version was created by Britain's Sir Kenneth MacMillan and is a staple in the repertoire of American Ballet Theatre, under the direction of Kevin McKenzie. The leads are sought-after roles for established figures in the ballet world, and for rising stars. Principals Marcelo Gomes and Diane Vishneva left audiences breathless.
Monica and Ali are the sole underwriters for the recurring Romeo and Juliet productions by ABT, with its rousing music by Prokofiev, which have starred the most celebrated dancers of today. ABT’s stunning sword fights and balls scenes have been staged in New York but also in Hong Kong and elsewhere.
