RED EYE OF LOVE is a girl-meats-boy love story. Selma Chargesse is torn between her love of great wealth and her inclination to idealism. The two men in her life offer her one or the other: Wilmer, a naïve young dreamer and O.O. Martinas, the proprietor of the world's largest meat department store. This musical was created by John Wulp, based on his Obie winning play in 1961. In 2013 he workshopped it with Bartlett Sher and an all-star cast, and the following year the musical opened Off Broadway, with sets designed by Robert Indiana.

Monica backed the all-star production of the CD, the workshopping and the Off-Broadway production of this musical by her friend, the late John Wulp, Tony winning director of Dracula in 1978 and prolific producer, playwright, director, designer, artist and educator.  She later helped him a little to generate interest in his play The Saintliness of Margery Kempe which enjoyed an Off-Broadway revival in early 2018.
