This light-hearted production conceived by Fiasco Theatre was greeted in 2011 by rave reviews and peals of laughter at TFANA. In Shakespeare’s less known comedy, Cymbeline the King plays a minor role, while Imogen is the star turn in this convoluted, implausible, highly artificial story, which Shakespeare borrowed from Boccaccio and Holinshed. Brits, Celts, Romans, musicians and jesters people the action set in Ancient Britain at the time of the birth of Christ. TFANA co-produced in 2011 this hilarious production with fledgling directors Noah Brody and Ben Steinfeld. Actors and musicians included the directors themselves and Jessie Austrian, Paul L. Coffey, Andy Grotelueschen, and Emily Young.
Monica backed TFANA’s co-production with Fiasco Theatre, helping to finance its transfer to a broader audience.
